Acceptable use.

What the platform may be used for, what it may not, and what happens when the line is crossed.
Why this policy exists
VEYRONIS connects your business to regulated payment providers, acquiring partners and card networks. Each of them sets rules about what can be sold and how. This policy gathers those rules in one place. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
Businesses we cannot support
You may not use the platform to sell or take payment for:
- anything illegal where it is sold or where it is delivered;
- illegal drugs, or products marketed to imitate them, and prescription medicines sold without the required authorisation;
- weapons, ammunition and explosives sold in breach of the law;
- counterfeit goods or goods that infringe someone else’s intellectual property;
- content that exploits minors, or non-consensual sexual content;
- pyramid or Ponzi schemes and other deceptive get-rich-quick offers;
- unlicensed gambling, lotteries, or financial and money-transmission services offered without the required licence;
- goods or services that promote violence or hatred against people on the basis of who they are;
- any activity prohibited by the card networks or by our payment partners.
Activities that need our agreement first
Some business models carry higher risk and need to be reviewed before you start: for example, sales with long delivery delays, pre-orders and crowdfunding, age-restricted goods, high-value travel or event ticketing, and subscriptions with free trials. Tell us before you process this kind of sale; we may ask for additional information or apply different reserve terms.
How the platform may not be used
- processing a payment that does not correspond to a real sale by your own business, or on behalf of an undisclosed third party;
- using the platform to test stolen card numbers, launder money or evade sanctions;
- splitting transactions or otherwise disguising a sale to avoid limits, fraud checks or tax;
- misleading your customers about prices, renewals, delivery or refunds;
- probing, overloading or reverse-engineering the API, or accessing it with credentials that are not yours;
- storing card data in breach of the security standards that apply to it.
What we expect of every merchant
- Describe your business accurately when you open an account, and tell us when it changes.
- Show your customers who you are, what they are buying, what it costs and how to obtain a refund.
- Answer customer complaints and disputes promptly and in good faith.
- Keep your credentials and API keys secret.
Review and enforcement
Transactions are screened, and we and our payment partners may review an account at any time. If this policy is breached, we may ask you to correct the problem, pause processing or payouts, adjust the reserve, or close the account, as the Terms of Service provide. Where the law requires it, we report unlawful activity to the competent authorities.
Reporting misuse
If you believe a business is using VEYRONIS in breach of this policy, write to contact@veyronis.io with what you know. We read every report.
Changes and governing law
We may update this policy as network and partner rules change; the date at the top shows the latest version. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and disputes are heard in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, as set out in the Terms of Service.
